Tips for transporting wild animals and birds
Wild animals can be transported in a cat or dog carrier or in a cardboard box. For trips under 2 hours, they generally do not require food or water. A few small air holes are sufficient. Secure the box to prevent the animal from escaping during the journey.
Transport the animals in a darkened environment, for example by covering their carriers with a thin cloth or blanket. This minimizes stress for the animals and protects them from unfamiliar drafts. You should also avoid loud noises or music during the car ride.
